A pessoa que me apresenta neste podcast me deu a primeira oportunidade de me apresentar para o público norte-americano, quando morei brevemente em Boston no ano de 2001. Nessa época eu só tinha muros e barreiras em minha vida. Me sentia completamente sozinho e deslocado na cidade de vento, Boston. Vez ou outra eu entrava na loja de pianos que tinha na esquina de casa, só pra devanear pelas teclas de um piano que (na época) eu não podia nem sonhar adquirir. Eis que esta pessoa da foto, Ben Klinger, um homem de imensa generosidade e bondade, em vez de expulsar aquele assíduo e insistente estudante latino da loja, entusiasticamente acolheu minha presença e me deu a primeira oportunidade de um show naquele espaço, com piano lindo e mais dois músicos me acompanhando. E hoje dediquei nosso show aqui a ele, 18 anos depois... O trio fez um show muito inspirado em uma sala com acústica perfeita em Bellevue, Washington. O piano era um Yamaha CFX superlativo, de novo, graças ao empenho dele em nos propiciar esse instrumento. Peço a Deus por mais pessoas como ele neste planeta. Obrigado.

The person introducing me on this podcast gave me the first opportunity to introduce myself to the American public when I briefly lived in Boston in the year 2001. At that time I only had walls and barriers in my life. I felt completely alone and out in the windy city of Boston. Time and again I would go into the piano store on the corner of the house, just to dream about the keys of a piano that I could not even dream of acquiring at the time. Behold, this person in the photo, Ben Klinger, a man of immense generosity and kindness, instead of expelling that assiduous and insistent Latin student from the store, enthusiastically welcomed my presence and gave me the first opportunity of a show in that space, with a beautiful piano and two other musicians accompanying me. And today I dedicated our show here to him, 18 years later ... The trio did a very inspired show in a room with perfect acoustics in Bellevue, Washington. The piano was a superlative Yamaha CFX, again, thanks to his commitment to provide us with this instrument. I ask God for more people like him on this planet!
